Classic Game Room HD – PLAYSTATION DUALSHOCK 1 Controller review

25

Classic Game Room HD reviews the original DUALSHOCK Controller for Sony Playstation 1. The Dualshock 1 controller is grey and classy, like a sea lion with analog controls. This welcome addition to the PS1 family in 1998 brought dual analog sticks and an awesome rumble feature to video games like Gran Turismo 1! Far superior to the original PS1 controller (which was a good controller in its own way), the psone Dualshock controller was hefty and featured larger L2 and R2 buttons as well as the analog sticks. Further refined with the PS2 Dualshock 2 controller, the Dualshock line now continues with the PS3 Dualshock 3. So check it out, are you looking for a budget controller for PS2 games? Is the PS1 Dualshock 1 controller all that you can find? It works with Playstation 2 except it does not have analog button buttons, just analog sticks. The SCPH-1200 is reviewed here on Classic Game Room, the Playstation Dual Shock 1 Dualshock 1 controller for PS1 and PS2.

  4. deathtsunami says:

    the rumble on the dual shock 1 has a bit more rumble since both the left and right motor are bigger but when playing games like dbz bt2 or bt3 the rubber part on the sticks come off lol

  5. deathtsunami says:

    poopizg00d u had the non dual shock one lol but yup i have both yup they shouldnt had added those triggers at all on the dual shock 3

  6. XRvd15X says:

    I really think they shouldn’t have added triggers… Oh yeah and I play resident evil 2 and the dualshock 3 controller rumbles like crazy lol it must be the game devs reducing the “shock” to it

  7. Poonard says:

    these controllers feel like toys, i always felt like i was going to break them and i hate where the thumb sticks are…i do like the separated D Pad but everything else…yuck, they just DO NOT fit in my hands and feel awkward.

  8. ToaRabin says:

  22. animegangsta69 says:

    yeah! playstation 4 ever!! I swear, if sony ever decides to change the interface of the original dualshock design, there will be hell to pay from the enthusiasts and those who grew up with the playstation name, like myself.

  23. pieterll says:

    @prayforme111 nope.

  24. Ehal256 says:

    the dual analog was a great controller, more comfortable than the dual shock in my opinion.

    well , that’s your opinion… for me , they’re almost epic…
